Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 15, 2026

BidWave: Live Auction respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the BidWave mobile application.

BidWave is a real-time live auction app that allows users to create an account, post auction listings, place bids, view auction activity, and manage their profile.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide BidWave’s core features.

BidWave does not collect contacts, location, payment card details, bank account details, microphone recordings, or camera recordings.

How We Use Information

We use the collected information to operate and improve BidWave, including to:

Firebase and Google Services

BidWave uses Firebase and Google services to provide authentication, database, storage, notifications, and app functionality.

These services may process information needed for app functionality, security, notifications, diagnostics, and service operation.

You can review Google’s Privacy Policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may process or share information only when necessary to provide BidWave’s features, operate Firebase/Google services, comply with legal requirements, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users, or respond to lawful requests.

Some auction-related information may be visible to other users as part of the normal auction experience, such as auction title, category, images, current bid, total bids, auction status, and bid history.

Local Storage

BidWave may store limited profile information locally on your device to improve loading speed and app experience. This may include your user ID, name, email address, phone number, and profile statistics.

Local cached data is intended to be cleared when you log out or when your account is deleted.

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your BidWave account from inside the app or through our account deletion page: https://bidwave-f2390.web.app/delete-account/

When your account deletion request is completed, your BidWave account and associated personal information are deleted or anonymized where applicable.

For auction fairness and security, account deletion may not be available while you have an active live auction or while you are currently the highest bidder in a live auction.

Some auction and bid records may be retained where needed for auction history, dispute handling, fraud prevention, security, or legal reasons. Where possible, personal identifiers are removed or anonymized.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide BidWave services, operate auctions, maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce app rules.

Account-related personal information is deleted or anonymized when an eligible account deletion request is completed.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect user information. BidWave uses Firebase services for authentication, database, storage, messaging, and app functionality.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

BidWave is not intended for children. It is designed for users who are old enough to participate in auction and bidding activities.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through BidWave, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
